Business School held the Staff Meeting and the 3rd Sixth Senate Meeting

In the afternoon of January 10th, the Faculty and Staff Conference and the Third Sixth Teaching Council of the School of Business were successfully held in the Lecture Hall of the Finance and Science Museum. The leadership team of the Business School and all faculty members attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Liu Zhiming, Secretary of Party Committee of the Business School.
Dean Feng Bo expressed his gratitude to this year honorably retired faculty members for their years of dedicated work and warmly welcomed the new faculty members. Afterwards, Feng Bo made a summary report of the annual work of the School in seven aspects: party building work, talent team, discipline construction, talent cultivation, scientific research,internationalization construction and social service.
Wang Youyu, Vice Dean of the School of Business and Director of MBA Centre, made a report on the financial work of the School in 2024.
The members of the leadership team of the School of Business made a personal report on their duties for the year 2024 from the aspects of ‘ethics, ability, diligence, performance and integrity’. Afterwards, the School conducted a democratic evaluation of the leadership team and division leaders.
Wang Xiaoyuan, President of the Trade Union of the College, briefly summarised the work of the trade union in this year. In 2024, the Trade Union of the College won the ‘Advanced Collective of Trade Union Work of Soochow University in the Year of 2023-2024’ and read out the list of active members of the trade union. She said that a series of achievements made by the union could not be achieved without the strong support of the leaders and teachers of the college, and encouraged the college staff to participate in the union activities more often to enrich their spare time.
After the meeting, Vice President Zhou Zhongsheng invited Zhang Yixin of Super Star Pan-Asia Group to give a lecture on ‘Intelligent Teaching: Leading the Deep Advancement of Digital Transformation in Education’ for the teachers of the School of Business, who talked about how to make better use of the tools of Artificial Intelligence to improve the teaching level.
